HELP-Higher Ed Legislative Plan

- This is a grant for FULL TUITION to a Mississippi public community college or university if you meet the requirements/qualifications. Click the link to read about it. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, if you will meet the income limitations, make sure you're taking the correct classes listed on the curriculum requirements.

MTAG-MS Tuition Assistance Grant

- MTAG awards up to $500 per academic year during the freshman and sophomore years of college and $1,000 during the junior and senior years. There is no income limitation/requirement.

MESG- Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant

- MESG awards up to $2,500 per academic year for students who have made a 29 or higher on the ACT.

Nissan Scholarship

- This scholarship, sponsored by the Nissan Company, covers full tuition and provides additional funds for books and fees. The ACT requirement is a 20; the GPA requirement is 2.5. It also requires an essay and evidence of extracurricular activities. Click the link for more information.

The Citizens Bank

Award: $1000 
Deadline: June
Recipients: For juniors and seniors
Details: Students bring report cards by the first Friday in June to any of the bank's locations. For every “A,” students are entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship.

Elks Most Valuable Student

Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi

Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship
Award: varies
Deadline: October 25
Recipients: seniors who have demonstrated perseverance in adversity
Details: Financial need/academics

Horatio Alger Career and Technical Scholarships
Award: varies
Deadline: April 15
Recipients: seniors who have demonstrated perseverance in adversity and wish to pursue a career or technical education

CREATE Foundation

Recipients: High School and Current College/University Students
Details: Scholarship applications vary by county

Key Thinkers Scholarship
Award: $2500
Deadline: Multiple (one per academic term)
Recipients: High School or College Student
Details: Students must be a US citizen or permanent resident, 18 years or older, enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or trade school in the US; have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Prudential Spirit of Community
Award: varies
Deadline: November 5
Recipients: grades 5-12
Details: exemplary community service

SACAC Horizon Award
Deadline: January 15
Recipients: High School Seniors
Details: This scholarship is awarded based on financial need, academic achievement and community service.  Awards are in the amount of $1,000 and are not renewable.

Farm Bureau Scholarships 
Award: $3000 to $4000
Deadline: June 1 or  Aug 1
Recipients: high school senior or college freshman
Details: Must attend a Mississippi college or university; show need for financial assistance, academic ability, and leadership qualities; Must be pursuing an agriculture related major.


United States Senate Youth Program
Award: $10,000
Deadline: October 11
Recipients: High school junior or senior
Details: To apply, students must complete application package. 2019 Application can be found at link below.

National Rice Month Scholarship
Award: Varies
Deadline: October 31

Recipients: High school seniors from rice growing state (MS included)
Details: Create an original video about US rice and the importance of rice to your state
